Lovely Saturday and Madhura's birthday to boot.
How lucky we were to be able to share this happy day with her.
Sachin gifted her a lovely solitaire pendant and then I gave her a bottle of rose attar specially brought from Udaipur.Sudha had given the gifts brought from India much earlier.
Sudha prepared vegetable palau( Madhura's favourite) and then Sachin and I sat down to watch the World Cup football matches.
Madhura had her SAP classes.As soon as it ended at 2.30 PM, we set off to Charlotte to visit the Ikea Store--- a good 21/2 hour drive away. We reached there at 5 PM and there was a sale going on.This was my first visit to an Ikea Store and it blew me away. We had a break for snacks and gorged on garlic bread and fries and bought a couple of knick-knacks.Later we went to an Indian restaurant, Jaipur, and had some roti and vegetables.
We left Charlotte at 10 PM and got back to Cary at 12.30 AM. A fairly exhausting journey.
On the way home, we had a chat with Sandeep and Greeshma. Sandeep was on a weekend visit to Bangalore after his first couple of days in Cognizant.
We also learnt about Swathi winning Rs.5000.Don't spend it all Swathi--- you owe us a treat.
That was the end of Day 16 and we can only wonder at how quickly our vacation is coming to an end.
